Your adventure begins at Ololo Safari Lodge, a charming boutique retreat tucked along the edge of Nairobi National Park, where giraffes, rhinos, lions, and zebras roam against the backdrop of the city's skyline.

Beyond exciting game drives, children will delight in exploring the lodge's working farm, meeting friendly farm animals, collecting fresh produce from the gardens, and discovering where many of the ingredients served at the table are grown.

Samburu National Reserve

From Nairobi, journey north to the wild and beautiful landscapes of Samburu. We think you'll fall in love with Samburu National Reserve at first sight. It's a fantastic reserve that doesn't get the crowds you sometimes see in other Kenya's parks. The reserve is well-stocked with predators, including lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena, with sightings of elephant, giraffe, hippo and zebra also common. It's a chance to see some northern animals that are hard to see elsewhere, including Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe. Fabulous scenery and nearly 400 bird species too.

You'll stay at the stunning Saruni Samburu, an exclusive luxury lodge perched high above the Kalama Conservancy. Here, families enjoy an immersive safari experience unlike anywhere else in Kenya. Young explorers can join the Warrior Academy, learning traditional Samburu survival skills, making fire, throwing spears, and discovering the rich customs of the Samburu people.

Alongside thrilling game drives in search of the Big Five, you can visit a local Maasai village, learn traditional beadwork, take guided bush walks, and gain a deeper appreciation for the people and landscapes that make Kenya so extraordinary.

Masai Mara National Reserve is also the site of one of the most spectacular animal migrations in the world and home to a high concentration of the ’big five’ including lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino.
